First of all, happy new year!  I hope this year is full of everything you love and desire.

Speaking of which, today I want to tell you about something that has had a huge impact on my life over the last several years.  It’s something called a Vision Board.

A vision board is a tool used to help clarify and focus on a specific things you want. Literally, a vision board is any sort of board on which you display images that represent whatever you want to be, do or have in your life.

Here are three quick tips on how to make a great vision board:

1. Get clear on what you want for the year.  What do you want to be, do, and have this year?  I want to be vulnerable this year.  Something I want to do this year is visit my friend in Maui. Something I want to have this year is more money in my bank account at the end of this year than I did at the beginning of the year.  Something you may want to have is a specific car or a house or a pet.  Remember to really connect deeply with yourself first, otherwise your vision board won’t be authentic to what you truly want on a deeper level.

2. Find images that represent what you want and put them together on a physical poster board or on a document on your computer. They could include words or pictures. If you want a specific car, then put the exact pic of it. The more clear and specific, the better. The key to doing this right is making sure that you feel GOOD when you look at that picture.

3. Put your vision board up somewhere that you can see it regularly.  At least daily and ideally multiple times a day.
